DELIVERY CENTRE
Canoe Wales is the delivery centre for all British Canoeing Awarding Body (BCAB) qualifications and awards and operates under the guidance and scrutiny of BCAB.
As a delivery centre, Canoe Wales is responsible for the recruitment, training and monitoring of all assessors and verification of assessment decisions, and for quality assurance processes and standardisation procedures. Canoe Wales is also responsible for the administration of courses and certification of learners.

Accreditation of Prior LearningDownload List Item 2
Paddle Cymru recognises that many learners may have relevant experiences and qualifications from other sports, work and qualifications from other training providers. We aim to recognise your experience through the Accredited Prior Learning (APL) service. Some of these have already been mapped by British Canoeing Awarding Body and can be found in Appendix 1.

Registration Guidance for CandidatesDownload List Item 1
Candidates wishing to attend any of the following Paddle UK Courses are required to register
centrally in advance. Registration is required for each award and is the start of the validating
process for the qualifications. It is also the means via which a candidate training and
assessment journey is recorded.

This form needs to be completed by all directors, committee members and senior staff and returned to the Canoe Wales Company Secretary.

You have a duty to be vigilant and to keep Canoe Wales informed of any such matters. This policy is to provide you with a formal channel through which employees of Canoe Wales can raise matters of a serious nature relating to Canoe Wales. Such matters cannot be raised informally. We encourage you to disclose information which tends to show one or more of the following where such disclosure relates in some way to Canoe Wales.
